Nativity Trails
1. The Nativity trail includes several important journeys:
The Virgin Mary’s journey from the Nazareth to Ein Karem after the Angel announced that Mary was carrying Jesus Christ. Two main churches commemorate this event, the church of Annunciation in Nazareth and the convent of Ein Karem.
A second journey was made by Saint Joseph with the Virgin Mary from Nazareth to Bethlehem, where Mary gave birth to Jesus in the Nativity Grotto.
2. The shepherds’ route from Beit Sahour to Bethlehem.
3. The Holy family’s journey from Bethlehem to Egypt and back to Nazareth.
Jesus Trails
Jesus trails in Galilee, Lebanon, Jordan, and Jerusalem desert:
1. Jesus walked in the Jerusalem wilderness area and the Monastery of Deir Quruntal in Jericho was founded where he spent most of the fasting period and was tempted by Satan.
2. Jesus’ second annunciation tour running from Galilee to Jerusalem.
3. Jesus route on Palm Sunday from Jericho and Bethany to Jerusalem.
4. The Jesus trail in Jerusalem: along Via Dolorosa, or the route of Passion.
